How it started ➡️ how it’s going. We were looking at the 2011 Diagnostic Feasibility Study For Easter Lake renovations and couldn’t believe how drastic a difference you can see between the first photo which was the cover of the study, and the second photo, a photo we took at the lake last summer! Needless to say, Easter Lake is looking good these days 😎
By taking the effort to implement projects like rain gardens and soil quality restoration at your homes, we were able to reduce 914,960 gallons of stormwater runoff in 2020 - But why does this matter?
To all of our watershed residents who have worked with us throughout this challenging year to complete these exciting and beneficial conservation projects we say “thank you!” The future of clean water in Easter Lake and down stream is in our hands and no action is too small. Just two weeks after planting natives in their yard, one of our watershed residents identified 23 butterflies consisting of 6 different species, and several species of bees and other pollinators! What you plant in your yard does make a difference for pollinators and our local water quality! This year we are excited to share and celebrate our residents who have undertaken these multi-beneficial native planting projects! 😊🦋🐝🌼
